Carder-Steuben Glass

The Museum is home to the world’s largest and most comprehensive collection of glass produced under the direction of Frederick Carder (1863-1963) for Steuben Glass Works from its founding in 1903 until 1932. In complement to the glass collection, the Rakow Library holds extensive archives including Carder’s notebooks, drawings, interviews, and other materials, much of which is available through the Rakow Library
