Physical DescriptionCup or Bowl with Handle. Transparent purple, with opaque turquoise and white trails. Blown; trailed, dragged, marvered, and applied. Roughly hemispherical. Rim plain, with rounded lip; wall curves out and down to mid-point, then in; base plain, very slightly concave; pontil mark circular (D. 1.1 cm). Very small handle dropped onto wall just below mid-point, drawn out, up, and in, and attached to upper wall. Decoration: turquoise trail applied to top and outside of rim and wound, very thinly, about six times around top 0.7 cm of wall; white trail applied to center of base, wound five or six times around base and 11 times around wall from bottom to 1.1 cm below rim; lowest eight revolutions on wall have been dragged diagonally to produce ribbon-like effect of adjoining lozenges.Provenance
