Physical DescriptionPanel Depicting Four Cherubs Gathering Fruit, "L’Amour Vendangeur based on an engraving by Etienne Fessard (1714–1777) after François Boucher (1703–1770)". Colorless and red-orange non-lead (?) glasses, enamel, stain, and wood; enamel painted. Flat, rectangular sheet, with transparent enamel decoration of four nude children gathering grapes and other fruit; one, at the left, with red-brown drapery holding a basket over his head; another, at the left, holding a bunch of grapes to his mouth; a third, center, leaning on a basket; while a fourth, resting on a rock at the right, clutches grapes in his lap; stylized trees, rocks, a ribbed melon, etc. around, clouds overhead; signed at the lower right (script, scratched through the enamel before firing) "E. M. Pearson 1778"; leaded into a frame of bright orange-red panels; frame of brown wood moldings.
