Physical Description3 Fragments. (73.1.34-1) Colorless glass with yellowish tinge, bubbly, some iridescent patches; probably blown, enameled, gilded. Fragment of rim of beaker preserves part of flared area and cylindrical body; large arabesque pattern outlined first in thin opaque red enamel lines and then filled with thick "relief" lines of opaque red, white, and blue enamel with gilt over that. (73.1.34-2) Colorless glass with yellow tinge, milky white iridescent surface, some pitting; probably blown, enameled, gilded. Large vessel fragment preserves slight curve of body, decoration consists of a small gilt panel in which a kufic inscription has been laid out in opaque red enamel and then filled with "relief" lines of heavy blue enamel, kufic inscription filled with gilt. (73.1.34-3) Colorless glass with yellowish tinge, some pitting; probably blown, enameled, gilded. Vessel of somewhat closed shape; fragment preserves shoulder area with a panel containing a quadruped running to the right in an elaborate foliate background, above, another fine scroll pattern, all figures and scrolls executed in a red-brown enamel applied in "relief", panel background filled with heavy dark blue enamel, area outside with a light blue enamel, heavy border, all figures gilt then outlined with a thin red enameled line.
