Physical DescriptionColorless glass overlaid with a thin layer of translucent deep royal blue glass, bubbly, pitted, some patches of thin iridescent weathering film; probably rolled out into a flat plaque and cased. Fragment preserves an unfired scene on the upper royal blue surface, a figure walking to the left in Egyptianizing style stands on a groundline, this line forms the upper border of a narrow register of rosettes, below was a series of heraldic griffins, all are painted in buff yellow color, griffin preserves traces of elaborate shading on its surface.Provenance
