Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; blown, pattern-molded. (a) Barrel-shape; flat rim; cylindrical neck with three trailed rings; sloping shoulder; rounded sides, tapering to flat base; sides patterned in a three-part, full-size mold: vertical ribbing at base (67 ribs)/horizontal ring/band of diamond diapering (38 diamonds x 4 full diamonds)/horizontal ring/vertical ribbing (56 ribs); base with radial ribbing (37 ribs); rough pontil mark on underside. (b) Spherical shape; cylindrical shank with rounded end; patterned in three-part, full-size mold: vertical ribbing at bottom (33 ribs)/horizontal ring/band of diamond-diapering (21 diamonds x 2 full diamonds in two sections; 2-1/2 diamonds in one section)/horizontal ring/radial ribbing (14 ribs).
