Physical DescriptionBeaker. Colorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, gold foil decoration. Double-walled glass with tapered, panel-cut sides; continuous scene in engraved gold foil of a horseman firing a pistol at a stag, and being attacked by two dogs; reverse depicts a large building with ducks flying nearby; inscribed "SOVIEL ALS TROPFFEN BIER/IN DEISEN GLASE STEHN/SOVIEL MAHL WVENSH ICH/DIR MEIN FREVND. VIEL/WOHLER GEHN"; gold foil borders above and below, the lower with foliate motifs; separate disk inserted in the base, with gold foil decoration of a hand emerging from clouds, holding a burning heart cradled in two branches, with another burning heart below, against a transparent red background.
