Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, stained, engraved. (a) Deep, rounded bowl; sides with copper-red stained rectangular panel with cut corners; engraved representation of Cologne Cathedral, inscribed in Germanic letters: "Der Dom zu Coln in/ seiner Dollendung"; bands of cut swags at top of bowl, hexagons at center, half-ovals at bottom; hexagonal-cut inverted baluster stem, flaring to petal-cut foot; base with cut star and radial ribbing on underside; (b) pagoda shape; hexagonal faceted finial with pointed top, over a paneled, petal-shape, flattened knop and tapered, paneled stem; paneled bulbous top with scalloped edging, above paneled, flared section, ending in a petal-cut rim; cylindrical flange.Provenance
