Interpretive Notes
František Vízner’s objects are characterized by his unique approach to the vessel form, his preference for solid colors and heavy and massive shapes, and his exacting craftsmanship. While these vessels are based on the shapes of functional bowls and plates, we best understand their pure and simple volumes as nonfunctional, sculptural forms.
