Physical DescriptionColorless presumably lead glass; blown and engraved. Slender trumpet bowl flaring slightly at rim and joined to hollow stem, the sides of which continue the tapering line of the bowl, base of bowl and top of stem form about 1/2" (1.3 cm) solid into which the hollow of the stem extends in a shallow cone; applied flaring high sloping foot with plain rim and small rough pontil mark; at top and between chains of alternate ovals and trio of crossed lines, vignette band depicting a hunting scene: tree in foliage (at left), sun rising over hill, fox disappearing in brush, chased by two hounds followed by mounted huntsman carrying a banner inscribed "TALLI HO" and, at right, a castle.Provenance
