Physical DescriptionDeep purple-blue lead glass; blown, cut, enameled and gilded. (a) Long, flattened ovoid body with very short neck threaded for screw-on cap and fitted with matching glass stopper (b), smooth polished base; decoration: all-over flat cut diamonds; insects and spray of berries and leaves painted in colored enamels and gold on one side and, on the other, birds, tree, and fruit. (c) Gold, screw-on cap. Case: original sharkskin case lined with silk.
