Ben Tré’s sculptures, which often take the form of vessels, are inspired by elements of architecture and industry, such as columns, heavy stone fragments, ancient monoliths, and machine parts.
Physical DescriptionAmber glass; cast. Multi-sided heavy walled box; two flanges on each of the longer sides which resemble, in cross section, truncated triangles surmounted by rectangles; the two ends of the box are of a similar shape; interior cross section is an elongated hexagon; object rests on a pedestal base of same shape as its interior; signed on base "BEN TRE/ 2/78".
