Physical DescriptionSnuff Bottle and Stopper. Transparent light amber, opaque light blue glasses, plastic (probably); mold blown, cold-worked, inside-painted. (a) Tall, four-sided form, with flat faces, cut grooves running along the corners, and cut arches above the faces; short, straight neck with polished, flat rim; the opening ground; rounded shoulders; square base, with recessed center; the interior painted in watery black paint, with two landscape scenes, and two flowering branches; (b) domed form, cold-worked (or molded) with stylized petals; the bottom flat, with central hole for an ivory spoon (broken and missing; only the stub remains, with some tan cement).
