Physical DescriptionOpalescent lead (?) glass; blown, cut; ormolu mounts. Horizontal, cylindrical shape; cover with cut radiating ribs, box with cut longitudinal ribs; ends with cut radiating ribs; mounted with molded ormolu: two thin straps with circular florets across the ends of the cover, bands with roses around the rim, hinged to a similar band on the rim of the box, a rectangular lock plate at the front with a floral swag, lion masks at the sides, thin straps with circular florets at the ends, attached to two cast feet formed of pairs of swans drinking from a bowl, on inverted floral swags.Provenance
