Physical DescriptionPreserving Jar with Top and Clamp. Light aqua non-lead glass; mold-blown, (b) pressed. (a) Cylindrical shape with mold seam up each side; molded collar; tooled lip with groove; inscribed: "MILLVILLE/ATMOSPHERIC/ FRUIT JAR" on one side and: "WHITALL'S PATENT/June 18TH 1861" on other; depressed circle on base. (b) Circular disk-like top; pressed; impressed: "WHITALL'S PATENT/June 18TH 1861" on top surface. (c) Metal screw clamp which fastens top.
