Interpretive Notes
Eisch is internationally known for his mold-blown and painted glass sculptures, but he is also a prolific painter. His sculptures almost always take the form of male or female heads, as it is people, their relationships, and their states of mind that most interest him. Eisch’s free and untraditional approach to art, and especially to glass, was an important influence on young American studio glass artists in the late 1960s and 1970s.
