Physical DescriptionTranslucent red and green, opaque green non-lead glasses; blown, overlaid, cameo-carved. (a) Flattened ovoid shape, of translucent ruby-red glass with green overlay; short neck with flared, polished, slightly concave rim, with green edge; rounded sides with relief-carved decoration in the green layer, a multi-petaled flower on an undulating branch with two buds on one side, a larger flower (peony?) on an undulating branch with one leaf; undulating rocky ground at the bottom; oval bottom, with cut recessed oval panel in the center; (b) stopper with domed, circular green glass cap; tapered cylindrical cork cemented to the underside, with slender white ivory spoon with pointed oval bowl inserted in the end.Provenance
