Physical DescriptionGirandole. Colorless lead glass with pale amber (drops) and deep blue (canopies); blown, applied, tooled, with flat cutting and gilded metal mounts; heavy canopied urn-base supporting, at sides-front, two notched arms each with deep socket fitted with scallop-rimmed set-in sockets and star pans; at sides back, two notched arms each with scalloped canopy below plain spear shaft with blue canopy and urn finial; tall central spear shaft with scalloped canopy and elaborate star finial; at center front: from upper canopy, pendant lustres including pale amber faceted button, colorless oval sunburst and, at end, large faceted pear-drop; repeated between side front arms but with blue canopy at end, festoons (4 in all) of pear-drops from buttons and sunbursts to canopies and pans of arms. Pendant pear-drops on canopies and pans; those of lower canopies of side back, pale amber and colorless.
