Cylindrical form tapers to narrow cylindrical neck; deeply concave base; body of bottle cradled in wide swaths of plant fiber, possibly jute, and tied with strings of plant fiber to just above shoulder; four paper labels: U.S. Internal Revenue tax stamp, "LESS THAN ½ PINT"; State of Maryland tax stamp, May 17'38, meter no. 483; paper streamer with "CL" within shield, and main label: "LEROUX/MARASCHINO/LIQUEUR/7-0 Proof/1.6 OZ./MADE BY/ LEROUX & CO.
