Physical DescriptionBlue transparent, colorless(?) and mauve transparent glasses; blown (three gathers), iridized, ground and polished, acid-stamped(?). (A and B are virtually identical and one description serves for both.) Goblet. Bowl and top of stem are blue, which is pale where glass is thinnest but rapidly darkens as glass thickens; stem is colorless(?); foot is mauve, which is also relatively pale where glass is thinnest but darker where it is thick. Bowl is squat with plain rounded rim, wall which curves out, down, and in, and narrow, flat floor; top of stem is solid and remaining three-quarters are hollow; foot is shallow truncated cone, hollow, with circular concavity at center of underside; near center of concavity, ground and polished hollow, presumably where pontil mark was removed. Colorless(?) part of stem has speckled iridescence (mostly gold and yellow on A, gold and purple on B). Acid-stamped(?) signature on underside of foot, near edge: "Kaj Franck Nuutajärvi Notsjö" (cursive).Provenance
