Physical DescriptionTranslucent dark blue, translucent dark green, and colorless glasses; four largest elements cast in sand molds; "pegs" consist of glass rods which have been ground and painted. Six-part sculpture, "Acid Rain #2" from the "Eco Series". Sculpture consists of animal's head resting on horizontal element supported by two vertical elements; horizontal and vertical elements are held together by "pegs". Head (dk. green) is that of salmon-like fish with two "ears" behind the eyes, each in the shape of a human thumb, and with a pyramidal boss projecting from the top of the head. Horizontal element (a, blue) is rectangular slab with, on upper surface, ten pyramidal bosses, four of which support the head, and with two circular perforations near midpoints of short sides. Vertical elements (b and C, green) are five-sided slabs, each with three pyramidal bosses on outer surface and with a circular socket in the top side. All of the above have a rough, matte surface. "Pegs" (e and f, colorless) are circular-section rods, rounded at top and painted matte black, and ground at bottom; they are inserted through the perforations in (a) and the sockets in (b) and (c). Signed "Alan Klein 83" on bottom side of (c).Provenance
