Physical DescriptionPaperweight with Butterfly. Colorless, opaque white, blue, red, green lead glass; paperweight, millefiori. Domed, circular form, enclosing millefiori canes arranged in concentric circles: a series of spaced red and white canes containing green butterfly silhouettes, a ring of red, white and blue arrow canes, and a central large cane with red and white cogwheel canes surrounding a band of green shamrocks, and a central red and white cogwheel; on a "lacy" bed of short lengths of opaque white twist filigree; polished pontil mark; paper labels inscribed "BACCARAT/IRISH Ex. 1848" and another inscribed "13" in ink.
