Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; blown, gilded. (a) Decanter with four compartments, joined vertically; flat rim with four small circular openings in the top; the rim heavily gilded on the top and sides; the sides of the decanter with gilded decoration, a foliate border around the neck, with linear bands on either side; scattered five-pointed stars on the shoulder; a wide gilded band on the rounded shoulder, with formal decoration of repeated foliage and scrollwork, with four circular medallions interspersed, each with a monogram "CB / 50" scattered five-pointed stars below; gilded foliate border at the base, matching that on the neck; slightly concave bottom with polished pontil mark; (b-e) four stoppers of gilded metal on cork shanks; each stopper with ring finial, mounted on a turned, spreading base with rounded top.
