Oval shape, with a shield-shaped handle at each end; shields with pattern of stars and stripes; center depicts Bunker Hill Monument with inscription: "BIRTHPLACE / OF LIBERTY" to left and right above; rim inscribed: "PRES COTT 1776 STARK / WARREN 1876 PUTNAM" sides inscribed: "THE HEROES OF BUNKER HILL / THE SPIRIT OF SEVENTY SIX" all on lower surface.Provenance
