Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead, soda-lime bottle glass (iron and manganese create tint), with brownish tint; blown, hot-worked. Tall narrow goblet with elongated, optic-ribbed, modified bucket bowl with fire polished rim extended to form irregular fluted hollow stem tapering towards foot; two small asymmetrical looped handles drawn from bits applied to base of bowl then attached to stem, below handles are three narrow ring wraps then a spiral wrap that extends to foot, at lower third of stem tooled bits have been applied in form of a flying bird in four pats: long outstretched neck with hooked beak, two wings extending at right angles from stem, fanned tail; applied slightly conical "clapper" foot; rough pontil; inscribed in script on top of foot: "Fritz Dreisbach/ Pilchuk-75; rectangular white paper label on underside of foot: (red ink) 690.04WEG/(in pencil 1975".Provenance
