Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown (sheet glass), grozed, reverse gilt and engraved, painted. Flat, roughly rectangular shape, with rounded corners at the top; with gilding on the reverse, finely scratched to depict the standing figure of Christ, wearing the Crown of Thorns, holding a whip with two star-shaped mace heads at the ends and a bundle of branches, a palm frond dangling from his elbow; wearing a draped loin cloth; standing on a rounded, cross-hatched ground; inscribed with a monogram of "WBoL"; covered on the back with a heavy black tar-like substance.
