Physical DescriptionOpaque black non-lead glass; semi-fused discs of crushed glass slumped into plaster mold, rim applied by copper foil technique. Shallow bowl; thin-walled low bowl formed by partially fusing small granules of glass in a mold; section of exterior and most of interior surfaces have been heated to the point of melting and "crawling"; irregular rim has been extended vertically by the attachment of a thin-walled, matte black soldered collar; interior of collar irregularly wrapped and lined with a web of fine copper wire bundled inconsistently; exterior of collar encircled with fewer wraps of wire knotted in two places and spot-soldered periodically as a band to the collar.
