Physical DescriptionClear and transparent ruby red glass with few bubbles; wear marks on base; free-blown, cut, engraved and stained. (a) Body with large base tapering to the octagonal neck which has a large knop-like bulge at the bottom and the plate mouth; (b) conical stopper with mushroom-like hexagonal finial surmounted by a hexagonal obelisk; cut, multipointed star on base, four blank panels on body and on the finial alternating with four panels bearing floral motifs engraved through the red stain, on knop two floral and tendril circlets engraved through the stain, a tendril circlet around bottom.Provenance
