Physical DescriptionTranslucent (almost opaque) white, blue, blue-green non-lead glass; pressed. Seventeen piece tea set, "H" pattern of broad flat panels on vessels; closed handles; (Aa,b) teapot and lid, white conical lid with octagonal rim; inset flange; pointed open spout extending from flat rim; pot of blue, with solid circle-section handle; slightly concave base, with logo in relief; (Ba,b) blue sugar bowl, with symmetrical quarter-circle solid handles at rim; white lid (slightly smaller version of teapot lid; logo on concave base; (C) blue creamer (smaller, lower version of teapot), logo on base; (D,E,F,G) four green plates, with octagonal flat rim; circular interior edge, slightly concave, with shallow panels extending to flat octagonal base; at least part of logo on base of each plate; raised circular foot; (Hab, Iab, Jab, Kab) four green cups and white saucers; overall mold marks. (Lab) rectangular box, lined with printed needlepoint pattern in red on beige background; cardboard support for dishes, with cutouts printed in beige doily pattern on red background; exterior of box in blue panels with broad red stripes with beige lettering: on long sides lettering flanked by drawings of boy and girl heads; The LITTLE/AMERICAN MAID TEA SET; short sides; MANUFACTURED BY/The Akro Agate Co./Clarksburg, W.VA./PRINTED IN U.S.A./MADE IN U.S.A.; broad side of lid has yellow background and blue and beige block lettering; THE LITTLE/AMERICAN MAID/TEA SET over red and beige rainbow stripes enclosing blue background and halftone image of two children playing (standing girl pouring tea for boy sitting at children's table); lid sides have blue stripe, one short end has printed in red: No. 335; raised logo of bird within "A" on all pieces except lids.
