Physical DescriptionCovered Sugar Bowl. Transparent pale bluish aquamarine glass; free blown, with applied decoration; solid slightly sloping foot with rough pontil mark applied to large spherical knop stem with an enclosed silver half dime dated 1829, almost spherical bowl with galleried rim; high domed cover with ball knop, containing a similar coin dated 1835 and supporting a chicken finial; bowl and cover with superimposed lily-pad decorating Type II (McKearin, American Glass, 1948, p. 27).Provenance
