Interpretive Notes
This object was catalogued originally as "Partho-Sasanian." The date and place of manufacture, however, are far from certain, although the distinctive conical bezel, made by coiling, may prove to be diagnostic. No parallel is known.
Physical DescriptionBlack glass; rod heated until soft, then bent into ring so that ends met and fused on cooling; junction pinched and somewhat flattened to form bezel; trail dropped onto bezel and coiled; triangular cross section; bezel is roughly conical.
