Physical Description(I) Translucent deep blue glass, with opaque white trail; rod-formed, tooled, applied. Pitcher shape; rim consists of two coiled rings; cylindrical neck; conical body, with pronounced shoulder; body decorated with continuous horizontal zigzag trail; handle applied to top of wall, drawn up above rim, bent over and reattached to top of rim; disk shape base. (II) Dark blue glass, appearing opaque, body apparently rod-formed, foot tooled, "cage" and handle applied by trailing. Pitcher shape, body consists of narrow cylindrical tube, slightly wider at top; foot apparently formed by tooling the end of the tube into a bulbous disk; on the body, two horizontal trails, one halfway between rim and foot, the other below it; between the horizontal, an openwork "cage" made by applying a single zigzag trail; finally, a fourth trail of yellow glass was dropped onto the cage, drawn upwards to form a handle, attached to the underside of the rim, wound once around the rim. (III) Uncertain color, possibly dark blue, tooled, applied. Gourd shape, squat pear shape body; narrow mouth, short bulging neck, on lower part of neck and upper part of body, one horizontal tubular handle, apparently made by winding a trail three times around a rod; narrow at the bottom.Provenance
