This style was also called Volutes en relief (Volutes in Relief).
Physical DescriptionVase, "Tourbillons (Whirlwinds)". Colorless non-lead glass; mold-pressed, enameled. Ovoid shape; body with a bold arabesque pattern in very high relief with upper surfaces accented in black enamel; flat tapered cylindrical, ground and polished base; engraved inscription: "R.LALIQUE/ FRANCE". Lalique design #973 "Tourbillons".
