Physical DescriptionTransparent, dark green and opaque white non-lead glasses; blown, overlay, cut, gilt. (a) Inverted pear-shaped font, white overlay on green, with cut oval and quatrefoil facets, gilt scrollwork; brass fitting on top to hold the shade and a chimney, and the remains of a burner, screwed into a brass fitting on the font; the font mounted in a crudely-cast leaf- molded socket, with turned brass fitting below; baluster-shaped hollow glass stem, white overlay on green, faceted and gilt to match the font; on a spreading, square, leaf-molded cast bronze base, mounted on a larger square of white marble, another cast bronze base, and a base of white marble; held together by a screw and nut; stamped twice in black paint on the bottom of the marble base: "MADE IN BRAZ[IL]" (?), within a rectangular frame. (b) Spherical form, open at both ends, one end with short cylindrical neck; white overlay on green, cut and gilt to match (a).
