Physical DescriptionTranslucent gray, opaque purple non-lead sheet glass, opaque yellow, pink, lavender, red, green paints (automobile primer on lead came and steel frames), lead came, zinc came; cut, assembled, painted lead lines, welded, ground, and painted steel, assembled. Square panel that hangs together with 96.4.42 A-C as one composition, each with a non-identical format of a roughly circular, but always asymmetrical, wide painted (gray on the reverse) lead came line that connects the gray glass sections and touches the perimeter of each side of yellow frame to varying degrees; each panel is enclosed by a metal frame painted gray that is screwed into a steel "L" frame painted yellow: Chico-at top right corner a square of unleaded purple glass extends over the gray, lead line (painted pink) is shaped like an asymmetrical pear (more articulated than "A"), the length of the line that runs along the center of the base edge makes a small bend, then touches the edge at one more point to the right; in upper left quadrant of composition a narrow length of came painted laveneder extends (at almost right angle) from the wider came to the edge of the panel just below the corner; front, at lower right base of glass, engraved in script: "Lewis '76"; the name of each piece is written in pencil on reverse, at top right of inner frame.Provenance
