Physical DescriptionColorless and blue glasses, mercury; blown, cased and cut. Bell-shaped bowl, double-walled: glass lined with mercury to give a silvered effect and cased in blue glass which is cut away in a pattern of diamonds and circles on bowl, stem and foot; double-knopped stem spreading to circular foot; foot with polished pontil mark and inset seal with "E. VARNISH & CO / PATENT / LONDON."
