Physical DescriptionPitcher. Almost colorless glass but with green tinge, deep blue glass; blown, applied. Ewer: conical. Rim expands to trefoil mouth with rounded edge and pinched pouring lip; neck conical, wide at bottom than at top; wall expands with convex profile, and curves in at bottom; base plain, with kick; pontil mark either circular or annular (D. about 2 cm). At mid-point of neck, continuous blue trail tooled to form rigaree pattern. Handle with circular cross section dropped onto bottom of neck, drawn up and out, then bent in and attached to edge of rim, with folded thumb rest near point of attachment.Provenance
