Physical DescriptionOpalescent cream-colored lead glass; blown, etched, stained (?). Globular shape, with curved sides and rounded, concave base; the sides with acid-etched and brown-stained decoration in three zones, the top band with elaborately scrolled foliage, with four elaborate panels with shell borders, containing elaborate scrollwork; the second band with a continuous pattern of stylized flowers and foliage; the bottom zone a circle, with an outer band of scales, encircling a band of scrolls, and a central stylized eight-petaled flower; the background stained red-brown; acid-etched circular mark inside, inscribed "THOMAS WEBB & SONS.LIMITED." in a ring around a central plain disk.
