Physical DescriptionColorless, blue, red, opaque lead (?) glasses; millefiori, paperweight technique. Domed, circular form, enclosing tiny millefiori canes arranged in concentric circles; a tiny blue- rimmed pink cane in the center, bearing the blue letters "SL" in white fields; encircled by a ring of white six-pointed star canes and a ring of red, white and blue ribbed canes; cemented to a gold-colored circular plate, hallmarked "CM" in a rectangle with a rose (?) between the letters; split flattened wire "harp" holding a rotating rounded bar. In a white, hinged box with printed gold crown and inscription "SAINT LOUIS/Cristal de France/1767" on the cover; gold paper-covered cardboard liner inside; loose white fabric-covered holder within; rectangular heavy white paper label inside, printed in black "These cufflinks signed S.L. made/of tiny millefiori canes are part/of a limited edition produced by/the Cristalleries de SAINT LOUIS,/ France."Provenance
