Physical DescriptionCovered Bowl. Vessel: colorless, with grayish tinge; bubbly; translucent blue. Mold-blown; applied, assembled. Lid: Colorless; bubbly; gold. Mold-blown; applied. Bowl with cover. Cylindrical bowl with fire-polished rim and rounded, mold-blown (18 ribs) base; joined by glue-bit to flattened mold-blown knop of blue glass; attached directly to mold-blown (22 ribs) pedestal foot with dark blue ribbon applied to rim. Bowl is decorated with one blue band and one horizontal colorless band applied at about one-third height, just above ribbing. Mold-blown domed cover with mold-blown flattened ball knop finial topped by applied prunt in dark blue glass that is partly gilded. Dome shows honeycomb pattern, with traces of gilding.Provenance
