Physical DescriptionClear heavy glass with few small and large bubbles; surface of outside heavily crizzled (slight pinkish tinge), wear marks at base; free-blown, with applied and tooled decoration. (a) Solid stepped foot with heavy pontil mark, rudimentary spool-like stem, short cylindrical bowl; (b) set-in straight-walled cover with solid stem-like top with knop, supporting a blue bird (chicken ?) finial, four arches of clear glass with pinched combs alternating with four blue pinched arches applied to finial and shoulder of cover, six small handles, applied to bowl, a blue spiral thread applied to upper bowl.
