Physical DescriptionFragment of Dish or Bowl. Transparent bluish green, with very small bubbles; decorated in greenish brown and opaque orange yellow. Blown; applied; stained. Fragment of dish or bowl. Bottom of wall (Th. 0.7 cm) curves down and in at very shallow angle; base has foot-ring made by coiling single trail more than 1 1/6 and less than 1 1/2 times around edge, and flattening its underside; rest of base is flat; pontil mark circular (D. 2 cm). Decorated on inside with symmetrical ornament, which covers floor and extends up at least lower part of wall: eight equidistant brown lines radiate from central brown spot (D. 0.9 cm); each line has solid brown disklike motif 1.8 cm from spot, beyond which is brown spot (?); radiating lanceolate motif, also solid brown, bisects space between each pair of lines; all other spaces are filled with orange yellow.Provenance
