Interpretive Notes
Both J. Hoare and Co. and H. P. Sinclaire and Co. engraved this pattern which Hoare called Rock Crystal and made 1896-1915, and H. P. Sinclaire called RC 105 and made from 1904 until about 1915. Stevens & William also made this pattern, from 1879. The blank was probably made in England and the engraving done in Corning although it is surprising that the decanter is not marked since both Hoare and Sinclaire marked most things.
