Cylindrical shape, with ring handle at one side; bust portrait of Lincoln on one side marked "BORN / FEB. 12TH / 1809" on one side and "ASSASINATED / APRIL 14TH / 1865" on the other; "DIED APRIL 15TH 1865 / LINCOLN" below bust; opposite side with bust portrait of Garfield with "BORN / NOV. 19TH / 1831" on left and "ASSASINATED / JULY 2 / 1881" on right; "DIED SEPT 19TH 1881 / GARFIELD" below; base of mug marked: "OUR / COUNTRY'S / MARTYRS".
