Physical DescriptionColorless, opaque red, opaque white lead glass, silver; blown in a mold, applied handle, applied silver collar with spring-loaded hinged lid. Bulbous decanter with long neck, blown of colorless glass, overlaid with opaque red and opaque white glass, acid-etched to create a mat finish. The red and white glass has been carved away in a pattern of fuchsias and leaves of white glass with a barely visible red underlay; ground and polished pontil mark on base, silver collar engraved with flowers and marked with a lion, an anchor and an old English letter (poss. G) and the word "STERLING"; spring loaded hollow cap, attached by a silver chain to an applied handle on the shoulder of the decanter.
