Interpretive Notes
Because hot-glass facilities were unavailable to artists unless they had access to a factory, the Texan sculptor and studio glass pioneer Robert Willson traveled to Venice to realize his ideas. Working with some of the most accomplished glass masters in the world, Willson made solid glass sculptures that reflected his love of ancient and tribal art.
