Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass with deep gray tone; blown and engraved. Large cup-shaped bowl, sides sloping inward to plain rim, and with drawn stem, applied circular foot with plain rim and small rough pontil mark; bowl engraved with portrait of the "Old Pretender" wearing a chaplet (wreath) and enclosed by circle surmounted by Royal Crown, with leaf sprays at upper sides and resting in scroll inscribed "Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.
