Physical Description4 Seals. Translucent light blue (AB), ruby-red (C) and deep purple (D) glass; cast; seals have disk-shape. Decoration: (A) Bust of Pope Pius VIII with inscription: "PIUS VIII POINT. MAX. B. ZACCAGNINI DIS. EF. IN CONCHIGLYA." (B) a putto on a dolphin symbolizing the water; inscription: "L'ACQUA CAV. A. THORWALDSEN INV. E SCULP; B. ZACCAGNINI... IN CONCHIGLIA"; (C) a putto with two lions symbolizing the fire; inscription: "IL FUOCO... etc." (see B). (D) a putton on an eagle symbolizing the air; inscription: "L'Aria... etc."; (see B).
