Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, silvered, metal; blown, tooled, applied, silvered; metal: cast. Oval pitcher with a metal rim and pouring lip and a double-walled blown body, lined with mercury to give a silvered effect, and engraved with grapes and leaves; applied handle of colorless glass opposite pouring lp, tooled foot with hole in center of base stopped with a cork. Marked in lower edge of silvered rim with "PATENTED APRIL 4 1865".Provenance
