Physical DescriptionFragment of Pitcher, Bottle, or Bowl. Almost colorless, with bluish tinge; decorated in brownish yellow, light yellow, and bluish pink. Blown; stained. Fragment of pitcher, bottle, or bowl, described assuming it to be pitcher or bottle. Upper wall (Th. 0.15-0.2 cm) curves down and out. Decorated on outside (from top to bottom): (1) band of brownish yellow (W. more than 1.1 cm) bordered at bottom by narrow light yellow stripe, which is roughly horizontal; (2) row, again horizontal, of brownish yellow dots; and (3) broad horizontal band of ornament bordered at top by yellow stripe. Surviving part of (3) contains two motifs: on left, trefoil outlined in brownish yellow and filled with vegetal form consisting of two long oval leaves and one short leaf or stem, outlined in brownish yellow and partly filled with bluish pink; on right, roughly triangular area outlined in brownish yellow and filled with scrolling stem, which has pale blue "halo"; areas between trefoil and triangular compartments have rows of brownish yellow dots.Provenance
